Valens Ndayisenga has won Stage Two of the ongoing Tour du Rwanda. Stage Two covered a distance of 124.7 km.
Kenyan Suleiman Kangangi came second while Joseph Areruya finished in third position.
Ndayisenga’s triumph also earned him the yellow jersey, which his colleague Areruya had won on Monday during Stage One. Ndayisenga arrived at the finish line in SORAS jersey with the which he won the stage Kigali- Musanze in 2014.
Valens also has been rewarded by SORAS, represented by Ezra Nkundumukiza as the best young rider of this stage and in Team Dimension Data, Ndayisenga rides alongside compatriot Bonaventure Uwizeyimana as well as the Eritrean trio Eyob Metkel, Amanuel Ghebreigzabhier and Junrey Navarra.
Last year, Ndayisenga, who had been rated among the favorites, failed to finish the race when he was ruled out of the competition after he was diagnosed with angina (chest pain) during the fifth stage from Muhanga to Rubavu (139.3km).
